Project : After a major M&A plan that resulted in the creation of the European leader in its market, the company wants a centralized view of its business support services activity in the very short term.

Problematic :

  • No internal IT team available on the project

Solution deployed : project managed autonomously by CUBE

  • Definition of uniform business standards and KPIs with the client’s teams
  • Definition of a format for entering teams in Excel of their business data on a monthly basis

Service company (purchases / resales) which builds its estimates based on consultation with its suppliers

Project : Predict the amount of purchases related to a service to establish the customer quote without consultations in order to improve responsiveness.

Problematic :

  • Many criteria to be taken into account for purchasing conditions, to be identified and quantified precisely
  • No tools or skills available today to realize the project in the company
  • High sensitivity of the approach in direct link with the company’s profitability

Solution deployed :

  • Recovery of all the data characterizing the quotes (date, quantity, location, conditions, etc.)
  • Analysis of the importance/impact of each of these dimensions on the final purchase price, via data science tools
  • Construction of a machine learning model in python, predicting an estimated purchase price and a % error for each estimate
  • Hosting of the model under Google Cloud Platform and consultation via API for each quote request

Results :

  • Schema being implemented
  • Significant reduction in the time it takes to issue quotes without deteriorating margins
  • Reduction of the impact of the interlocutor on the quality of customer quotation management

Subsidiary of an industrial group listed on the CAC40

Project : As part of a global group that requires a lot of feedback from its subsidiaries, the company has great needs to use and rework its ERP data to produce reports for its parent company. The company has been using Qlikview for years, but needs to evolve its BI applications.

 

Problematic :

  • No internal skills to evolve current BI reports
  • Difficulties in integrating the publisher’s IT consultants due to the complexity of the production processes and the company’s business
  • Ageing ERP that does not have a data model or internal expertise

Solution deployed :

  • Two days a week formal notice to a consultant with dual BI / Supply chain skills who was able to schematize a VSM on the workshop and materialize the useful indicators
  • Diagram of an ERP Data Model integrating the identified data and creation under Qlikview
  • Analysis and requalification of the client’s reporting needs
  • Evolution of Qlikview applications for group needs and creation

Results :

  • Using Qlikview as a unique tool to track activity beyond initial needs
  • Continuous relationship and solicitation of the consultant by the subsidiary for each change in the group’s needs

Market place start-up with auction system

Project : As part of its very rapid development, the start-up wants to sell its customers a tailor-made BI service based on the data it collects.

Problematic :

  • No BI solution or specific skills in micro-structure
  • Little time to devote to the concept which is not core-business
  • Business software (PHP) has a functional coverage that grows with the company. It is not specifically designed to collect user data and will require adaptations not foreseen in the start-up’s roadmap

Solution deployed :

  • Provision of a consultant with dual skills, BI/web development in order to intervene in data collection from the business software
  • Design of indicators and development of related applications
  • Hosting and maintenance of a BI solution on behalf of the custome
  • Full implementation of the solution: two months after the start of the project

Results :

  • High customer satisfaction rate with the BI solution, which has become a monetized associated service.
  • Development of a second BI platform for suppliers
  • Integration of the consultant as a BI developer / PHP coordinator in the team
